If you are a student at BC or elsewhere, please check out this helpful FAQ before emailing me.

  • I can't seem to register for your class. Can I get an override? I cannot provide overrides. Course registration in CS is managed centrally in order to ensure that all our majors get into the courses they need to graduate. During registration, you can visit the CS Department website to get a link to the course waiting list.
  • I'd like to TA for you. Can I send you my resume? TA hiring is also managed centrally. About halfway through the semester, our IT manager, Phil Temples, puts out a call for TAs for the following semester. You can email him to request the link to the TA application form.
  • I'm a student elsewhere, and I want to be a graduate student in your lab. Can you hire me? Our department has no graduate programs, but I wish you the best of luck in your studies!
  • I'm a BC undergrad and I'd like to work in your lab. How do I apply? I generally only hire students who are double majors in CS and Linguistics or students who have taken one of my electives. If that sounds like you, get in touch a few weeks before the beginning of the semester.
  • I'm your advisee and I have a general question about registration, such as how to overload or how to withdraw from a course. For general registration questions, please see BC's really helpful Policies and Procedures website.
  • I'm your advisee and I have a question about how to get CS credit for a course offered outside BC's CS department. Who can help? To get CS credit for course you plan to take abroad, over the summer at another university, or during the school year in another department at BC, get in touch with our Director of Undergraduate Studies, Prof. Samary, before you register for the class.

If you are not a student, or if you are a student but your question was not covered above, feel free to email me: prudhome@bc.edu.
