The early idea of "coding" for the web was limited to document
formatting; how to lay text and hypertext links out on a page.
Things have come a long way. In the modern view, coding for the
web subsumes coding for stand-alone apps --- with all of the
engineering issues of stand-alone software plus asynchronous
communication, information flow, complex user interfaces,
database access among other issues. In this course, you'll learn
how to use JavaScipt, Node, React and Vue to develop state of
the art web applications.
This is a hands-on course that follows the learn-by-doing
philosophy. Students will learn about web applications and web
application frameworks by building several web applications.
