Sergio A. Alvarez

Teaching

I teach a variety of courses in computer science, and have developed several new courses, including CSCI 2244, Randomness and Computation, which deals with probability as a powerful modeling tool in computer science, and CSCI 2291, An Introduction to Data Science, which has developed into a key element of the new academic Minor in Data Science.

I'd be happy to talk with you about my courses and/or about doing research on a topic related to machine learning. Send me an e-mail at alvarez@bc.edu.
