Lab Facilities

The following computer labs are available for use by Computer Science students.

Computer Science Dept. Lab
Fulton Hall Room 160
This lab is staffed and administered by the Computer Science Department for use by students taking Computer Science courses. It is also used as a teaching lab for the department's short courses. The lab contains 25 Apple iMac Intel computers, a central server and a high-end HP laser printer. Each lab computer is capable of operating Apple OS X or Windows XP via virtualization software.

 
Computer Architecture Lab
Fulton Hall, Room 114
The Computer Architeture lab has 10 Dell PCs each configured with Xilinx ISE, and XESS boards with Xilinx FPGAs.  Students in CS272 use the lab for designing combination and sequential circuits.  Students in CS372 use the lab for designing pipelined datapaths and processors.  The lab director is Professor Katherine Lowrie.


iLab
Eye Tracking Lab (iLab)
Higgins Hall, Room 023
This lab is used to study the human visual system  through eye-tracking experiments.  The lab director is Professor Stella X. Yu.
 
 
Security and Distributed Systems Lab
21 Campanella Way, Room 563
This lab is used to study computer security and distributed systems software. it contains four Dell Dimension 4600 computers. The lab director is Professor Robert Signorile.
 

Campus Technology Resource Center - CTRC  (Formerly SLSC)
O'Neill Library, Room 250
This lab, operated by Information Technology, contains approximately 150 Macintosh and PC computers. The systems in the CTRC lab are configured with software in support of several introductory Computer Science courses. The lab is open to the entire BC community.
